Kenneth G. Simonian, FAA Office Manager

Kenneth has been in aviation since 1978 when he joined the Army working as a technician on Chinook Helicopters. He was able to get his A&P and Pilot certificates and has worked at many different Part 145 and Part 135 operations. Kenneth worked at a repair station that had Forest Service Contracts in California, where he serviced Huey Helicopters. The program is now called CAL FIRE. Kenneth also supported many contracts for the California Highway Patrol Flight Dept. He was the lead mechanic for an air ambulance startup called Northwest MedStar. He served as Chief Inspector with GE Aviation, where they overhauled CFM-56, CF-34, CT-700 engines. Kenneth joined the FAA in 2010, in Wichita, KS. In 2018, he moved to Boise, ID, working as an FLM for 5 years. In 2023, Kenneth became the Office Manager for the Spokane, WA. In addition to this, he has taught as adjunct instructor at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma, teaching Safety and Compliance to new Aviation Safety Inspectors.

Greg Feith is a renowned former National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Senior Air Safety Investigator and “Go-Team” captain with over 20 years of experience investigating 2,000+ aviation accidents worldwide, including the crash of Eastern Airlines Flight 980 in Bolivia. A 2016 inductee into the Living Legends of Aviation, he currently serves as an aviation safety expert, analyst, consultant, and media commentator. Greg also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Flight Instructors and the Aviation Emergency Response Organization (AERO). Based in Golden, Colorado, Feith continues to work in aviation safety, offering expertise on accident prevention and investigation.

Dave Vega brings decades of experience working with lead acid batteries, in both technical and customer support, working with MRO’s and repair stations throughout the west. Dave has experience in General Aviation, Business Jet, & Rotorcraft markets. He began his aviation career working at Standard Aero in 1982 and has continued as a Regional Sales Manager for parts distribution for more than 20 years successfully in sales management and support. He joined the Concorde Battery Sales Team in 2018.

Raymond Thomas, DEW North Aviation

Raymond worked for the following facilities before he started out on his own, Morgans Aircraft Tekoa- WA, Aircraft Refurbishers-Deer Park, WA. Then he opened DEW North Aviation, which has operated in some capacity since 2006, maintaining a fleet of up to 59 general aviation piston and light turboprop aircraft. He maintained a PBY Catalina, fire-fighting aircraft, from 2000 until 2008. He taught aviation maintenance at Spokane Community College from 2006 until 2013. Raymond acted as director of maintenance for Air Spray (now Dauntless Air) of Appleton MN, maintaining a fleet of Fire Boss amphibious fire- fighting aircraft from 2013 until 2018. He went full-time with DEW North Aviation in the spring of 2018 maintaining general aviation aircraft and independently supporting the Fire Boss fleet in the lower 48 states for individual operators. Currently, he’s working on three STC’s for Air Tractor, Fire Boss, and the new “Heatwave” firefighting aircraft.

Brian Cass is the General Manager at Aerocet Inc., where he has dedicated 28 years to advancing composite float manufacturing, repair, and support. A composite repair specialist, Brian has been blessed with opportunities to travel across the United States as well as to Japan, Singapore, and Australia to complete complex composite repairs and assist operators in the field.
Throughout his career at Aerocet, Brian has worked closely with engineering teams to complete in-house TSO certification projects for four different float models. He continues to partner with engineering to streamline manufacturing processes, improve production efficiency, and design floats that are increasingly maintenance-friendly. His combination of hands-on field repair experience and deep composite knowledge has made him a highly trusted resource within the aviation community.
